I moved from Boston to Vermont in 1993 and currently live in Brookfield. I hold a BFA in painting from RISD and partially completed the Vermont College of Fine Arts Visual Art program. For a long while, I had a studio at Studio Place Arts in Barre, but recently left to establish a studio at home. I have shown locally and regionally and in the last two years have created two large scale installations for art fairs in New York.
Both natural and artificial form inspires me. I have worked at times as a Carpenter and as a web programmer, and both of these occupations have influenced my work by underscoring an interest in organizational structures and methods of construction. I find the solitude of Vermont to be centering and conducive to focusing my practice, but I am forever interested in broadening and deepening my connections to the community of artists that live here.
